New Year 2012

3rd of January, 2012

So Here we are, 'the human race' in the year 2012. The Mayans predicted that 'the world ends on 2012' at some time in late December. Of course, we may ask ourselves, why should I believe in this stupid predictions of those nearly stone age people. At some point of time I too asked myself this same question. But history has its proof that, the Mayan civilization was very advanced, the build huge cities, they developed powerful astronomy techniques, which has been verified by the scientist today. Some of their predictions had come true indeed. And their prediction about 'end of world 2012' when investigated had some explanation too. Well, there is lot of green house effect going on all over the world, some solar storm is approaching, the Earth's poles has a peculiar habit of interchanging their positions over a period time and according to scientist, that time has come. Swapping of poles creates havoc all over. Some volcano mountain in America is feared to burst during this year, and if this happens, smoke and dirt will cover the sky, and the whole world will be darkened, we won't be able to see the sun and if this happens, without sunlight, we die, plants die and the natural balance is disturbed, so that targets the end of world. There is another theory of the continental plates dislodging from its initial position to a new position. So in whatever way you think, if any of these things come true, doesn't require that all comes true simultaneously, let us say that just one such events occur, it 100% sure that humans die and the world is lifeless. The nature always maintains a balance, and if this balance is harmed in any manner, nature has its own way to tackle it. The last 'ice age' was an example. Natures own way to tackle it can be called, 'tsunami, hurricanes, earthquakes, melting of the polar caps etc'. The continuous emission of the green house gases has already disturbed this balance a lot and it has reached almost a 'point of no return'. So, what now?? We die??

Well, these were theories. If you have a rational, logical and a scientific brain, we will find sense in it. We humans surely need to change our way of living so that our future generations shouldn't pay the price. What if, one day or the other, some big asteroid or comet comes from nowhere and hits our dear planet Earth. We die in that case also. Okay, let us assume that we have survived through all these events somehow, but one day after millions and millions of years, our beloved Sun will run out of fuel and it will die out. We die in that case also.

I don't debate on how this universe was created, or are we alone in this universe. Its just that, since when Earth was created, we humans are the only species with a developed brain. History has its proof again that, we have survived through the most hostile environments, we have experienced the various evolutions, be it the creation of fire by striking two stones, or the creation of the first computer in the world. We have reached the moon, and our satellites are in the sky. All these are done by hardly 6 feet long, two legged delicate species, who can't fly like the birds or run like the cheetah or has the strength of a lion, we have just a brain. We have seen changes, we learn things by observations, we obey the 'trial and error' method, and from a point of time, where the Earth was covered with forests, we have build up this present world over a period of just 8000 years. After gaining so much, we were destined to die after 11 months. We may not have strength like lions, we may not have speed like cheetah, or flight like that of an eagle, but we are the best example of 'survival of the fittest'. So far, we have survived the hostility of the universe and we will, and we shall survive what ever comes our way. We shall survive even if the poles of earth interchange, we shall, even if some asteroid hits us, and we shall if the continents are dislodged, we shall, we cannot figure it now, but we have one weapon with us 'hope' and 'the willingness to struggle' and 'to survive'. And when the sun will run out of fuel, we would have developed enough technologies, so that we can leave this planet and find some other home in this universe. And this shall go on and on. We shall keep changing our homes from time to time. It is also said that, one this our expanding universe will start contracting, and will shrink to that point from where it has started and there will be a big bang once again. So, now the question arises that if humans would survive until that point, what would be next?
What I believe is that, at that time, we shall escape this illusion and come face to face with the reality.
